Chapter 14 - Gen 2 - Blake

I really needed to think about moving the graves to another lot in town, whether it be the town cemetery or I buy a polt of land for a family cemetery.  Then I think about Autumn having the graves here does at least give her the chance to know who her parents are even if they are in ghost form.  Having something is better than nothing at all.  Its amazing how much thinking you can do while you are running.

Larna having the athletic trait also started to work out a lot with me.



Although watching her she started to worry me.  I kept catching her doing odd things, she seemed to be talking to herself a lot and hugging fresh air - which I did not think was normal behaviour for a sane person!!  I asked her about it once and she said she was not talking to herself she was talking to her imaginary friend.  This made me pretty cross and I wandered why she was talking such rubbish!!

Lacey and Luke on the other hand acted normally for kids of their age.  Luke was becoming a bit of a swat, he always did his homework as soon as he got back from school and he spent a lot of time playing chess or reading books even though he had neither the genius or bookworm trait.  Lacey was still pretty laid back, happy in her own little world amusing herself with toys and her doll, but had to be reminded most days to do her homework.  Neither of them though socialised much with other children their own age, not like Larna who always had a friend round or was off after school mostly to the Giggs house, her and Angel were pretty much inseparable.

My cooking was not that much better, even though we now had a choise of hot dogs or salad, quite often the kids would be caught eating ice cream, bread and jam or cereal for thier dinner or tea.  Even though Larna was old enough to cook she didn't show any interest in cooking.

Autumn had her birthday, she was walking and talking but I didn't quite manage to potty train her.  I was actually pretty surprised that when she turned into a child there really was not too much evidence of her "ugly" genes.

"Dad can I ......."

"Autumn you need to stop calling me Dad."

"You are my Dad aren't you!?"

"No Autumn I am your big brother, your parents died when you was a baby."

Having to sit down and explain everything to her was pretty hard - the more I told her the more troubled she looked, maybe I should have let her carry on thinking I was her Dad it probably would have been a lot less pain for her, but she needed to know the truth.  For days she walked around with this expression on her face that upset me a little.



 It was not long before Dad's ghost made an appearance and became very curious of Autumn - going out of his way to starting a conversation with her even though she ran away from him  a few times before she actually stopped still long enough for him to talk to her.

Luke seemed to have no problems with the ghosts and was getting a collection of autographs and photo's off them all.

Autumn got to meet her Grandma Summer's ghost, and even asked her to read her a bedtime story.  A lot more relaxed with her ghost than she had been with her Dads.

FINALLY - I made edible pancakes, I had two plates of them I was so thrilled with myself!!



The little ones ate pancakes for the first time.  Lacey dampened my mood and shocked me a little, it was the first time that I had noticed any tension between Autumn and any of my kids.


"Dad made nice pancakes."  Autumn said to Lacey when she came in for breakfast before school.

"Shut up he is not your Dad he is minnnnnnnnne."

"You shut up!"

"Your nobody, I don't even know why you live with us!!"

"HEY Lacey - that is enough of that!!!!"

"Well, she isn't my sister!!"

"She is your Aunt, Autumn is MY sister so don't you dare speak to her like that again!!"

With the squable between Lacey and Autumn playing on my mind I decided to get out - I needed a distraction and I had spent far too long acting like a recluse.  I made my way to the gymn I thought I could work out there for a while it would make a nice change.  I  travelled by the subway, something I had not done since I left Jugville.

I made it to the gym but that was as far as I got - I had so much hassle from everyone around, photo's and autographs, this was ridiculous, is it because I have hardly ventured out or are there no other celebrities in this town??  By the time I was left alone I was really hungry so I just went home again to eat.

Lsrna was squealing and getting exiting, she was on the phone to someone I didn't know who.

"So what were you getting all excited about Larna?"

"Angel asked me to prom?"

"What?!"

"I am going to prom with Angel."

"Your supposed to get a date for prom not go with your best mate."

"Angel is my date!"

"WHAT!!??"

"I KNEW you wouldn't understand."  She said angrily and stormed off.  I was in too much shock to go after her,  I needed time to thing about it before I spoke to her about it.   Larna and Angel - well I never saw that one coming!!

Still with Larna on my mind I did not get a very good nights sleep and was out early kicking the martial arts dummy not sure still how I felt about my daughter possibly being gay.  Its at times like this I needed to talk to my Dad.

I heard the school bus honk and purposefully hung around out back until I was sure the kids had all gone to school, I would face Larna later, I was not quite ready to yet.  Half an hour after the school bus had left I wandered into the house and went to take a shower.  Walkng into the bathroom I bumped into Luke.

"The school bus left half an hour ago Luke!!"

"I know."

"So what are you doing here - your skiving school arent you!!"

"Sorry Dad!!!"

"You will be sorry - now get to school. I'll sort you out when you get home - NOW GO!!"

Too cool down  I decided to walk into town I wanted to get some cooking books and learn a new recipe so I went to the book shop.  Outside the book store I spotted Coconut, I could quite easily have not recognised her because the last time I saw her she had really long hair.  I went over to talk to her.

I was wandering if she know about Angel and Larna, but there were other sims close by so I was not going to bring the subject up in public.  While I was getting hassled again for autographs Coconut wandered off and sat on a bench reading.

I decided to hang around and play my guitar for a while it was a while before the kids would be home from school.  Not looking forward to tackling Luke and Larna.  It was actually Dad's guitar I was playing I had recieved it along with everything else when he died.  My guitar playing was diabolical I did not have a musical bone in me, but I would improve with a lot of practice I am sure.

Luke grounded and put on chores duty till further notice, I had to sit down with Larna who had tried her best to avoid me.  We talked and Larna told me she didn't like boys she liked girls especially Angel.  I told her that while I didn't understand it, I wasn't going to be angry with her or judge her because of it, she had to do what made her happy and if that was her being gay then so be it.  Feeling a lot better she instantly phoned Angel to come round.

I didn't like it and was far from happy about it - but would have to live with it - I had already lost too much I wasn't going to lose my daughter too because of this.
